Our EAL support is structured into three levels to ensure appropriate assistance based on each student’s English proficiency:

  • Level 1 (All Grades):
All classroom teachers provide differentiated instruction tailored to students’ language acquisition levels. EAL teachers offer additional support. This level is for students whose English skills are slightly below grade-level expectations.
  • Level 2 (Grade 1 and above):
EAL teachers provide targeted small-group sessions outside the regular classroom. This level is for students significantly below grade-level expectations, who require additional support to understand and apply classroom content.
  • Level 3 (Grade 3 and above):
A short-term intensive “English Boot Camp” is offered for beginners. The focus is on building basic communication skills, including understanding everyday instructions and greetings.

MYP (Middle Years Programme: Grades 6–9)

Students’ English proficiency is assessed at the time of application or prior to enrollment. Based on the results, tailored EAL support is provided through both pull-out (outside the classroom) and push-in (in-classroom) formats. Instruction is adjusted to accommodate each student’s pace and language development needs.

CURRICULUM

IB Candidate School

KIS Reignwood Park is currently an IB Candidate School, actively working toward becoming an officially authorized IB World School. IB World Schools around the globe share a common philosophy—a commitment to high-quality, challenging, and internationally-minded education. At KIS Reignwood Park, we proudly uphold these values in every aspect of our teaching and learning.

Our foundation is built upon the strong academic tradition and over 25 years of IB experience at our sister school, KIS International School Bangkok. The Bangkok campus is widely recognized for its academic excellence and deep engagement with the local and international community. Its students consistently achieve outstanding results in the IB Diploma Programme.

What We Value

Every Child is Unique

Our school is an ideal environment for children who thrive in a community that values creativity, empathy, and personal growth.

Every member of our school community understands and upholds clear safeguarding protocols, ensuring that student well-being and safety are always the highest priorities.

Our boarding program is designed to provide a balanced lifestyle—combining academic support, social connection, and personal growth in a nurturing environment.

I was really impressed by the boarding program at KIS Reignwood Park! It feels like a warm, caring environment where kids can grow both academically and personally.

One thing I loved is that there’s a set study time in the evening, and teachers are there to help with homework and make sure everyone is focused. As a parent, that’s super reassuring.

Another great point—devices like phones and iPads are all collected at 8:30 PM and locked in a special machine until the next morning. I thought that was such a smart way to help students sleep well and stay off screens at night!

In the morning, they serve a nice breakfast—toast, eggs, fresh fruit, bacon… all the good stuff to start the day right.

Also, the boys’ and girls’ dorms are in separate buildings, and students aren’t allowed to go between them. When they go outside the school, there’s always a staff member with them, so safety is clearly a priority.

A Multinational Learning Environment

KIS Reignwood Park offers a truly international environment where students learn alongside peers from diverse cultural and national backgrounds. As of 2025, the school has a total enrollment of 160 students, divided as follows:

  • Early Years: 42 students
  • Primary School: 65 students
  • Middle School: 53 students

The student body represents a wide range of nationalities, reflecting the school’s global outlook:

Burmese, Indian, Malaysian, Chinese (Hong Kong), Spanish, Laotian, Norwegian, and Australian – each 1%

Thai – 53%

Chinese – 16%

American – 10%

British – 3%

Japanese – 4%

South Korean – 2%

New Zealander – 2%

German – 2%

The school opened in 2024, so the student body is still small—but that actually makes it feel really warm and homey. It has a very close-knit, welcoming atmosphere.

There are quite a few teachers compared to the number of students, which means the kids get lots of attention and support. What’s also nice is that many of the teachers’ own children attend the school, so there’s a real sense of community—and the mix of nationalities feels really well balanced, too.

Decisions about off-campus field trips are made based on air quality at the destination, using data from IQ Air.

At KIS Reignwood Park, we believe that every child is unique and brings something special to the community. That’s why we value children who are naturally curious, think independently, and aren’t afraid to ask questions or share their ideas.

We aim to nurture confident and compassionate young leaders who act with kindness and integrity. Our approach focuses not on rote memorization, but on personal growth and developing the whole child.

If you’re looking for a school where your child’s voice, ideas, and individuality are truly recognized and celebrated, KIS Reignwood Park may be the perfect fit for your family.

KISRP International School Visit Diary

KIS Reignwood Park is Bangkok’s very first IB boarding school—and believe it or not, the campus covers a massive 60 acres! Everything is brand new, sparkling clean, and beautifully designed. What amazed me most is that all of these incredible facilities are currently being shared by only about 160 students. Honestly, I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous of the kids who get to go here!

The boarding program made a strong impression. It is led by a highly experienced female staff member who previously worked at Harrow Appi International School—an international boarding school known for its high standards of care and structure. Boarding is available from age 9, and having leadership with a background in a well-regarded residential school brings an added layer of professionalism, attention to detail, and pastoral care that many international families will appreciate.

What really stood out to me was the daily study time, where teachers come in to help the students with their homework—such a supportive setup! And I loved the rule that smartphones must be turned in at 8:30 p.m. and stored in a special device until morning. I think this would be especially reassuring for parents of teenagers.

To be honest… I found myself thinking, “I want my son to go here!” (Though let’s face it—he’s at that age where he doesn’t want to listen to mom anymore!)

If you’d like to learn more, I’d be happy to help you find the international school in Thailand that best fits your child. Our counseling sessions are very popular, and we offer various types of support and discounts—feel free to reach out any time!
