The enrollment counseling conducted by the Japanese staff was very clear, and both staff members were incredibly charming, leaving me with a highly favorable impression. It’s reassuring to know that both parents and children, who may not be proficient in English, can always consult in Japanese, providing a sense of comfort and peace of mind.

This school has a super strong soccer team ! The coach used to play in a professional soccer team .There is a domitory for soccer players ,too.

When the decision was made to close high school catering to Japanese students, one of the schools I went to and held an information session on was Trail. It is reported that Trail has welcomed a significant influx of Japanese students. Their English as a Second Language (ESL) program (EAL), is structured into various levels, offers comprehensive instruction, and enjoys a favorable reputation.

Typically, remedial English classes are scheduled alongside regular English courses. However, at this institution, students engage in a full day of various subjects. The belief is that this environment facilitates rapid improvement in English skills without worrying about the challenges of the main English course. However, given the sizable Japanese student population, there’s a concern about the potential lack of interaction with fellow Japanese students or regular classmates until graduation.

There is a track record of foreign students returning to their desired universities. Many students aiming for admission to Japanese universities feel that studying IB or A-levels is overly demanding, thus opting to transfer to this institution. However, it appears that some parents are concerned about their children graduating with only a diploma. Parents never seem to run out of worries when it comes to their children’s education.

Mrs. Suzuki, highly popular by both parents and students for his role as a Japanese teacher and admissions staff, expressed, “While our school building may not have the same extravagance as other international schools, and our location may not be as convenient, I am truly confident in the quality of our English lessons.” “I have it!” he exclaimed.

Curriculum
Located in the Bangkapi district of Bangkok, Trail is a small educational institution accommodating approximately 400 students. Operating under a British-style curriculum from kindergarten to secondary levels, the school offers instruction in both IGCSE and A-level /AS-level programs. he UK’s National Curriculum covers subjects including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, ICT, History, Geography, Business Studies, Art, Drama, Music, PSHE, and PE. Language offerings include Thai language lessons, French, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and many others. The school boasts strong academic results with a pass rate of 76% for IGCSE, 89% for AS-Level, and 100% for A-Level.

Students Nationalities
60% of the students are Thai, 20% are Japanese, and the remainder consists of other Asian nationalities as well as British, Taiwanese, and Chinese students. The proportion of Japanese students increases notably at the secondary level. Due to the strong soccer team, it seems that recently, students from all over the countries also frequently enroll for soccer scholarships. Boarding facilities are available. Overall, there is an impression of many students being genuinely kind and friendly.
Teachers Nationalities
The main instructor is British, with assistants from Thailand and Malaysia. There are more instructors relative to the number of students,Especailly English support teachers.
Required English Level
Even students with lower English proficiency can enroll. Admission takes into account the school reports from the previous institution to ensure a basic level of academic ability and assess the student’s behavior in school.
School
Events
There are various events such as International Day and parent-teacher meetings, as well as celebrations for Halloween, Christmas, and many others.
ASSESSMENT TEST・EAL CLASS
The school’s pride lies in its comprehensive English supplementary classes. In primary school, classes typically have around 10 students. Subjects like English, Social Studies, and Science are taught in ESL classes, where even students with lower proficiency can understand. Mathematics, Physical Education, and Computer Studies are taken alongside mainstream students. Secondary school classes have fewer than 10 students, divided into three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
Admission tests consist of reading and writing assessments along with an interview. There’s no pass or fail; instead, the tests gauge English proficiency as well as personality and attitude.
